1876-1973
Born in Tavriz. Primary education in Nor Nakhichevan, where he joins ARF. Attends the Universities of Moscow and St. Petersburg. Active member of ARF, photographer by trade.
Was in Geneva when by the request of Christopher, travels with Nigol from Yerevan to Van, to replace the imprisoned Vartkes as an active representative of ARF, to organize the region and keep in touch with the Diaspora. Watches over the transportation of armaments from the Caucasus to Van. Directs many fights in Vasbouragan region.
During the Constitutional Reform years, he is elected as the representative from Van. Activist in Moosh, from where he succeeds to cross to the Caucasus with Rupen during the Genocide Days. As a representative of AGBU he returns to liberated Van. In 1919 he was participant of the National Representative group in Paris. He also was participant at the ARF General meeting in Yerevan. He was the empowered representative of ARF during the negotiation with the Bolsheviks in Riga, Poland. Later on, as a representative of ARF, he collaborates with the Kurdish rebels in Turkey.
In 1947, he moves to Lebanon, and writes his memories in the "Humble Heroes" series.
He dies in Beirut.
