Tro (Trusdamud Ganayan)
1883-1956
Born in Iktir. Tashnag activist, hit man, military leader. Attends the Russian school in Yerevan, than military schools.
During First World War, commands the 2nd Battalion, 400 people, on the Van battlefront. After its liberation he proceeds with his soldiers to help the Armenian of Mogs.
During the May fights of 1918, he directs the triumphed fights of Pash Abaran. He is assigned the Commander of the Army in Yerevan and he organizes the Armenian army, establishes the military officer's school in Kanaker. Tro with his soldiers proceeds to help Gharapagh, but the with Sovietization of Azerbedjan , Tro leaves Gharapagh with his soldiers, "considering useless to fight the Russians" writes Vratzian. In 1920 during the Turkish attacks, he defends the Sourmalou front, disallowing the Turkish enemy from reaching Yerevan.
He is appointed as military minister during the Vratzian government. After Armenia was Sovietized, he is exiled to Moscow, than he moves to Rumania. Later, many times, he was elected a member of ARF Central Bureau.
He died at the age of 73 in Boston, United States.
