The Flag

The Flag Of The Republic Of Armenia

The state flag is a rectangular panel with three equal horizontal stripes of red, blue and orange colors (from top to bottom).

The proportion of width to length is 1:2.

The state flag is identical in size and colors to the state flag of the First Armenian Republic (1918-1920).

The color red symbolizes the blood shed by the Armenian people in its struggle for independence, the color blue symbolizes the clear sky of Armenia and the color orange symbolizes the creative drive of the nation.
